Preservatives are the compounds which are added to the food products, beverages, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals in order to slow down or prevent bacterial growth and undesirable changes. It is challenging for packed and ready to eat food industries to keep the food safe to eat for a longer duration, this is where preservatives come in action as they assist in keeping the food safe.

At United Group of Food Consultants, we have developed these preservatives by using following salts:

Calcium Propionate: It is used to prevent the growth of moulds in food items like processed meat & milk products by using Calcium salt.

Potassium Sorbet: It is used to prevent the growth of mould, yeast, and microbes and helps to increase the shelf life of the food products like cheese, wine, yogurt etc. It is developed by using potassium salt.

Sodium Propionate: It is the sodium salt of propionic acid and it prevents the growth of mold and some bacteria in products like breads, tortillas, pizza dough, pastries, breakfast cereals, pasta and noodles.

Sorbic Acid: It is an organic compound used as a food preservative to inhibit the growth of various bacteria, yeasts and fungi for longer period of time like pickles, jams, jellies, cheese and cheese products, yogurt, and sour cream etc
